1977년에 개관한 백해영 갤러리는 다양한 국내 외 문화계 인사들과 교류하며 세계 속의 한국미술 문화의 발전과 국제화에 기여해왔다. 문을 연 이래 약 50년 간 다문화의 발상지라고 할 수 있는 이태원에서 리움 미술관, 페이스 갤러리, 리만 머핀 갤러리와 함께 백해영 갤러리는 한국미술시장의 글로벌 경쟁력 강화와 작가 육성에 힘써왔다.

       본 갤러리는 백남준을 비롯해 존 배, 이정진, 조용익 등 저명한 국내 작가들을 글로벌 아트 페어에 소개 하는 역할 뿐 아니라 제임스 터럴(James Turrell), 케네스 놀란드(Kenneth Noland),  찰스 샌디슨(Charles Sandison), 댄 월시(Dan Walsh), 존 베(John Pai)와 같은 해외 거장들의 작품들을 국내에 선보이는데 중요한 역할을 하였다. 이 외에도, 아트 마이애미(Art Miami)를 비롯한 해외 아트 페어를 통해서 아트 에이전시(Art Agency)로서 문화 전반에 관한 아트 컨설팅, 컬렉터(COLLECTOR)를 위한 교육 프로그램등을 진행하고 있다.

     Since its founding in 1977, PAIK HAE YOUNG GALLERY has grown into one of the most reputable art galleries in Korea with its mission to connect with international arts and artists. Located near Leeum Museum, Pace Gallery, and Lehmann Maupin, PAIK HAE YOUNG gallery is a great venue to serve the artist community with opportunities to exhibit works of art from worldwide, and to interact with local/global art collectors, dealers, curators and academics.  

    PAIK HAE YOUNG GALLERY has been devoted to promoting renowned Korean artists such as Paik Nam June, John Pai, Lee Jung Jin, Cho Yong Ik in the global art scene and introducing international artists such as James Turrell and Charles Sandison to the Korean market in the hopes of bringing a more sophisticated art-viewing experience. PAIK HAE YOUNG GALLERY is also conducting art consulting and education programs for collectors as an art agency through Art Miami and other overseas art fairs.
